The yearly terry fox run is done ever year to honor terry fox and his dream that cancer took. Terry Fox lost his leg to cancer, after that he decided to run across Canada to try and raise cancer awareness and to possible raise money to fund cancer treatment. After 5,373 kilometers Terry fox had to end his journey because the cancer that had taken his leg had sped to his lungs and then later killed him. Terry fox was successful in his goal to raise awareness of cancer and today we all run to honor him and raise money for cancer.
